They call him the Music Man . . .

It was another early Monday morning, woke up at 5am. There was a slight haze of mist and gray, its humid out there. Wash up, suit up (minus the jacket and tie), and hop on the bus. I flash my pass, and who do I see, the “Music Man”. The Music Man is a bus driver, almost like an urban legend of sorts. He's a good driver, speeding past yellows and being aggressive with the traffic. But why the Music Man? Because as we exit the Lincoln Tunnel, and this is every ride, he plays music through the overhead speakers. Usually something happy and old. Most of the tunes are orchestrated pieces I don’t know, but it’s nice. It helps to wake you and ease you into your day so early in the morning. My friends and I talk of him. “If you’re lucky you’ll catch him. Who? The Music Man as he takes you into the city and plays you a little tune.”
